013 - MM Dot: From Crawling to Rhyming Mixtape

During the Quarantine, thanks to the Bars App. (a project owned by Facebook), I began to work on something called ‘The Practice Field Raps’. I had heard Jay Z rap about ‘being on the practice field running two a day…’. As many famous music producers, like Statik Selektah began lending 1:00 min instrumentals to the app. for MCs to use royalty-free, I jumped on the chance to be on the practice field, albeit running 3 a day, as I had a lot of learning, or ‘crawling’ to do. Over time, 249 of them had been done, plus 4 ciphers with Jadakiss and 2 with Papoose totaling 255 of these little 1-minute practice raps.
